The enormous potential of the "Active Optical Cable" for long distances
Increasingly better picture quality means ever greater bandwidths. For example, in order to be able to transmit 8K resolutions over more than a few metres, new technologies such as AOC are needed. This divides the sub-signals of an AV stream sensibly between copper conductors and optical fibres. This enables the throughput of enormous data volumes of modern standards over much greater distances than pure copper cables can.
PureLink GmbH continues to rely on AOC and has long since firmly integrated cables with this technology into its own product portfolio.
